About the Job:
We are recruiting for a Head of It to lead and manage the Op Co IT team to ensure effective delivery of IT services to meet business demands and in alignment with the Regional IT Strategy. Successful candidate would report to the Regional IT Director.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Delivery:
  • Work with the Regional IT Director to in the development of the OpCo tactical and operational plans in line with IT strategy and manage the effective execution of those.
  • Manage the Op Co IT end-user support and Opco application services to meet business needs within SLA.
  • Collaborate with central IT teams (Operations + Application) to meet business needs within SLA and KPIs.
  • Procurement of IT hardware and resources compliant with OpCo IT budget and regional procurement guidelines.
  • Managing a team of 5 experienced IT professionals responsible for 1st line of general IT support and maintenance/development of Microsoft SharePoint Online/Power Platform solutions.
  • Managing projects (Microsoft solutions, LAN infrastructure).
  • Vendor management (ISPs, telecoms, software, etc.) and order management (hardware, LAN works).
Customer Service:
  • Act as a first escalation point for Opco IT matters.
  • Build a relationship with Opco SMT and BU managers to understand Opco IT demand and to feed this into the central teams.
  • Be the ambassador of IT to internal customers, maintain a strong understanding of the customer needs in order to deliver customer solution and benefits and effectively represent regional IT team.
  • Take initiatives to increase the OpCo end-user satisfaction about IT services.
  • Maintaining relations with key partners on the business side and regional/European IT organizations.
  • Supporting the team in their daily technical challenges.
  • Internal communication of IT activities.
Systems / Technology:
  • Ensure effective IT support for local OpCo applications and end user services these include Microsoft Sharepoint and Power Platform development.
  • Validate that OpCo IT systems are configured and used compliant with regional guidelines and policies.
  • Ensure correct and up to date Opco IT asset database.
  • Oversight over documentation and permissions.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Seek opportunities to continually enhance and develop the IT / business processes, services and solutions.
  • Seek opportunities to decrease IT costs and improve IT partner performance.
Project Management:
  • Partner with the Transformation PMO team, leveraging the central toolkit to ensure delivery of local Op Co projects in time, budget and scope.
  • When needed, take on the role of Project manager for OpCo IT projects.
Governance and Controls:
  • Identify and manage CyberSecurity risks and mitigation strategy for the Op Co and participate in the EU IT risk assessment group.
  • Taking part in audit interviews (ISO 27001, AEO, internal audits) – with support from the quality department.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
  • Demonstrable experience in developing IT infrastructure, applications, and processes in similar environments, achieving relevant timelines and budgets.
  • Proven success in personal leadership influence within a team and across a Senior Management Team (SMT).
  • Skilled in managing external vendors and service providers, including contract negotiations, and ensuring delivery aligns with contractual obligations.
  • Experienced in the logistics industry.
  • Capable of building and leading a highly effective and developing team.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • 5 years of IT experience, including team management.
  • Bachelor / Masters degree level or equivalent IT experience
  • ITIL qualification will be highly desirable
  • Knowledgeable about the logistics industry, including warehousing, customs, road transport, and container shipping.
  • Proficient in goal setting and task delegation.
  • Familiar with Microsoft server and cloud platforms, such as Active Directory, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, and Azure.
  • Broad IT knowledge encompassing hardware, operating systems, CISCO networking, office and ERP software, and SQL, enabling effective communication with both business and IT teams and supporting problem resolution.
  • Acquainted with WMS and TMS class systems (specific vendor/product knowledge not required).
  • Capable of working independently with minimal oversight, taking responsibility for outcomes.
  • Experienced in vendor management, including contract negotiations and operations oversight.
  • Project management expertise with a successful track record using Agile, SCRUM, and / or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Commercially minded with a flexible and proactive approach.
  • Skilled in influencing stakeholders at various levels of seniority, both internally and externally.
  • Proven ability to facilitate organizational change and adapt to evolving business environments.
  • Competent in using data-driven insights for informed decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Demonstrates an open, honest, and transparent leadership style.
  • Able to motivate self and others, collaborating with operational teams to meet challenging deadlines.
  • Effective in developing relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and customers from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Good knowledge of cybersecurity principles.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
